TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Before purchasing tickets for the show, you must read and agree to the following Track Rules:

• I undertake to ride with great care and attention, and with consideration for other track users.

• I recognise that Company of Cyclists reserve the right to deny track use to any individual, without the need to give a reason.

• I undertake not to begin riding without the necessary instruction as to function and use.

• I undertake to obey the instructions of representatives of Company of Cyclists at all times, and to cease cycling immediately when asked to.

• I will return my cycle directly to a Company of Cyclists representative and not allow anyone else to use it.

• I will not to adjust any cycle, leaving such tasks to a Company of Cyclists’ representative

• I will ride on the designated track at all times, to cycle in the designated direction, and not to race.

• I will ride the cycle for the purpose it was intended, and not carry passengers unless expressly permitted by a Company of Cyclists representative, and then only if the cycle is designed to carry passengers.

• I undertake not to change passengers during my use of the track without the express permission of a Company of Cyclists representative.

• I recognise that the use of the test track can be hazardous and I expose myself to the danger of damage to my property, person and life, as well as to a possible claim against me from third parties harmed by my actions.

• The Company of Cyclists is not liable for any injury to my person while using the track, unless caused by their negligence.

• The rules of the Highway Code apply. I confirm that I am aware of the rules of the Highway Code and of my other obligations as a road user.

• I recognize that the use of a helmet has been recommended by Company of Cyclists, and that Company of Cyclists are not obliged to provide helmets for all those cycling at the Show.

• I undertake not to leave the trackside if children under my care are on the track.

• I confirm that I am capable of riding safely on the track, and am not under the influence of alcohol or other forms of intoxication.

• I understand that trouser clips are available on request. Company of Cyclists is not liable for damage to my clothing or personal effects.

• I undertake to compensate Company of Cyclists upon demand should the Track Director judge that any negligence on my part while using the track has caused material damage to the cycle or equipment I have borrowed or to that ridden by of any other track user.

• I understand that term ‘Company of Cyclists’ includes all its representatives and subcontractors. All undertakings made to Company of Cyclists are also deemed to also be made to any third parties, such as exhibitors, who make their cycles available for use.

• I acknowledge that Company of Cyclists may, at their discretion, cancel or alter aspects of the Show, in the light of weather conditions and other unexpected events.

• By attending the Get Cycling Show I acknowledge that these conditions of use are valid and that I will abide by them.
